Wallowa County has 22 more cases

ENTERPRISE — Wallowa County has surpassed 950 COVID-19 cases, as the Oregon Health Authority on Wednesday, Jan. 19, reported 22 new cases in the county. That moves the county total to 959 for the pandemic, and to around 160 for the month of January.
The last two reports, containing cases confirmed from Jan. 14-18, have seen a total of 80 cases reported in the county, more than 1% of the county population and an increase of more than 9% in the county’s total. There have been no new deaths, with the number staying at 13.
The Region 9 hospitalization count increased to 26, up four from the Jan. 18 report.
Vaccinations rates for adults remained unchanged from Jan. 18, with the exception of booster shots, which increased to 37.3% of those 18 and older now getting one.
Statewide, there were 8,538 new cases and 15 deaths, with the case count now just below 550,000.
