Lolita “Jean” Isaacson was born on

May 28, 1942. She passed away March 27,

2020 at her home in Orofino.

Jean was the oldest of four children

born to Ross Oral “Dick” Isaacson and Ivy Janet

Schaeffer.

Jean is survived by her children,

Janet Hendren of Strunk, KY, Julie

Hendren (Rod Corder) of Orofino, ID, Randy

Hendren (Verna Frances) of Kooskia,

ID, and a stepson, David DeArmond (Heidi

DeArmond) of Weippe, ID; a sister, Sharon Harris of Enterprise, OR, a brother,

Robert Isaacson of Elgin, OR; a very special aunt, Dorothea Stephen of

Walla Walla, WA; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Jean held a great love for her family and many friends–her family

being the most important. She loved being a daughter, granddaughter

and sister. She also loved being a mother and grandmother and felt there

was no greater accomplishment or reward.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Gary

Isaacson, her son Rex Lee Hendren, grandson Kelly Joe Hendren, and

granddaughter Crissy Ann Hendren.

Jean was born May 28, 1942 in LaGrande, Oregon. She attended

school in Lostine, Oregon until the family moved to Kooskia, ID where she

graduated in 1960.

Jean married Dale M. “Shorty” Hendren on October 11, 1960. They

later divorced in October of 1986.

Jean made homes in several places throughout her life, but none

more important to her than the land she bought and renovated upon

retiring with her long time partner, Buck DeArmond in Weippe, Idaho.

Jean had a passion for many things and did them all so well. She

was a cowgirl at heart and loved every minute she was on a horse.

She broke them to ride as well as pack. She loved to camp, hunt and fish

in the mountains. The Lapover pack station and North Minam Meadows in

the Eagle Cap Mountains just outside of Lostine, Oregon being her favorite

places.

Jean worked as a waitress, butcher, baker, caretaker, dental assistant

and an EMT. She enjoyed cake decorating and crafting. She was a kind,

caring and loving individual who will be missed by all.
