Dems view Republicans as personal enemies

This column will be different. I am not going to logically discuss an issue. I am going to talk about attitudes and actions.

First, a quote from Dr. Jack Minzey: “Two or more sides disagree on who runs the country. And they can’t settle the question through elections because they don’t even agree that elections are how you decide who’s in charge. That’s the basic issue here. Who decides who runs the country? When you hate each other but accept the election results, you have a country. When you stop accepting election results, you have a countdown to civil war.”

After the election of George W. Bush, remember the chants of “Not my President!” by Democrats? When Obama won, Republicans never denied the legitimacy of the election process.

Now Democrats have gone completely berserk trying to deny that Trump won the election, starting with the pink pussy hat rally the day after his inauguration, the “Russia collusion” story, then Stormy Daniels … constantly bashing Trump personally. Little credit for the great economic news and progress in Korea.

After 640-plus days of Trump’s presidency, have the Democrats accepted the election results? No. They are still committed to impeaching Trump “By Any Means Necessary.”

Is this really the Democrat party today? What are their leaders saying?

Maxine Watters, Democrat Congresswoman, in a viral video urges her supporters, “If you see anyone from [Trump’s] Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”

Eric Holder, Obama’s Attorney General, once the top law enforcement officer in the land, said, “When they go low, we kick ‘em!”

Hillary Clinton said, “That’s why I believe, if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and/or the Senate, that’s when civility can start again.”

Obviously, the Democrats are controlled by people who view Republicans not as political opponents to be voted down, but as enemies to be personally destroyed. Elections don’t matter.

Have you read reports of angry mobs threatening Republicans? Getting in their faces, kicking them and acting uncivil? Starting a cold war?

Sarah Sanders, Press Secretary, and her family were yelled at and forced out of a restaurant by an angry mob. Same with Ted Cruz and his wife, Pam Bondi, Kirstjen Nielsen and a long list of other prominent Republicans. Personal destruction on display.

Sen. Susan Collins was subjected to the most vile and degrading attacks (like being sent 3,000 coat hangers) and death threats. In Minnesota, two candidates were attacked and one seriously injured; in New York, Republican offices were vandalized and a threatening note posted; in Texas severed pig heads were nailed to several Republican offices and more. Again, personal destruction not debate.

At the supposedly dignified Kavanaugh Senate Hearings, screaming protesters had to be physically removed from the room. An angry mob was chanting and pounding their fists on the doors of the Supreme Court while Kavanaugh was being sworn in.

Regardless of how you feel about Justice Kavanaugh, does anyone believe this is acceptable behavior? This was a nationally televised display of personal destruction.

Need more? Breitbart has a “rap sheet” of 630 acts of harassment and violence –– and counting.

Did you see what just happened in Portland? Masked Antifa thugs stopping traffic and harassing motorists, then, later, starting a brawl at Patriot Prayer’s permitted rally? That violence was awfully close to home!

Please reread Dr. Minzey’s quote. Does no one see the danger ahead? Thankfully, #WalkAway is gaining momentum as thousands of people abandon the Democrat party over stunts like this. They know the power of Washington, D.C.’s leaders to keep every elected Democrat under control, voting like robots for their agenda and parroting the party line. Perfect example – Oregon’s two senators. Read their websites!

Here is my thought. Until Democrat leaders publicly and forcefully denounce the violence that is being perpetrated in their name, never vote for another Democrat! Not even one! That is the only peaceful answer to the country-destroying words of Maxine Waters, Eric Holder and Hillary Clinton.

Here is my solution. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” When Democrats begin behaving in peaceful, country-restoring ways and can have a civil debate with Republicans on the issues, then, and only then, should you consider voting for a Democrat. No more personal destruction.

Please ponder this before you cast your ballot. The violence must stop. The alternative is unthinkable.
