Eagle football squad remains undefeated

Joseph Eagles continue to dominate the scene in six-man football, rolling over Prairie City 62-2 Saturday.
Harper Charter and South Wasco join Joseph as the only two undefeated teams in their district.
Coach Duncan Christman’s team ran 21 rushing plays for 138 yards in the game.
Carson Littlepage carried on 10 of those plays totaling 74 yards, including a TD. Trey Wandschneider and Guylen Snyder each had a rushing TD.
Kade Kilgore had a banner day passing completing 13 of 20 attempts for 196 yards, six TDs and three extra points.
Wandschneider had four catches for 112 yards, two TDs and one extra point. TJ Grote had two catches for 46 yards and two TDs, Littlepage and Snyder each had TD passes as well. Littlepage added three extra point kicks in the game.
On defense, Jospeh allowed only three first down and no pass completion yards against Prairie City.
Snyder had 14 tackles forced a fumble, Grote had 11 tackles, Jonah Staigle eight tackles and a fumble recovery and Wandschneider had four tackles and a blocked punt.
Kilgore and Littlepage also had fumble recoveries.
The Eagles do not play this week and will travel to Maupin to face undefeated South Wasco County Oct. 5.
Harper Charter and Mitchell/Spray Wheeler remain on Joseph’s schedule. Christman said there will not be a state playoff, as such, because of the experimental nature of the league. However, he hopes to organize an Eastern Oregon “championship” game.
