Robert S. Coffee

June 20, 1954 –– July 31, 2017

Robert (Bob) S. Coffee passed away July 31, 2017, at his home in Joseph with his wife, Cindy, and granddaughter Sydnee at his side after a courageous battle with cancer.

A contractor for 40-plus years, Bob was known for his eye for detail and pride in his work in the numerous homes he had built and remodeled in Wallowa County.

Contractors respected Bob, and that respect was shown in the final months of Bob’s life with the help they contributed in getting last-minute details completed in the last two houses Bob built.

Bob enjoyed salmon fishing in Imnaha, hunting and gun-collecting.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy, and grandchildren Sydnee, Addison, Lane, Kameron; niece Laura Ratcliff; nephew Joel Ratcliff and his wife Lora, as well as several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alice Coffee, and sister, Kathy Vaniman.

A celebration of life potluck will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at the home of Rhonda Shirley, 64172 Dobbin Road, Joseph.
