Lois Jean (Williams) Scott passed away Oct. 6, 2016 at age 94 in Joseph while in the care of daughters Janet Terrill (Ken) and Linda Sutch. She was born Lois Jean Williams on July 30, 1922 in Cove. She lived most of her adult life in Kennewick, Wash., as a loving wife and mother.

Jean loved her family, trips to the beach, U of O football, golf, good times with friends and was a great entertainer and gourmet cook. She was a giving person with a good sense of humor. She was an artist throughout her life and her paintings are cherished by her children and grandchildren.

In 2006 at the age of 84 she moved to Joseph with her husband Ralph. Her beloved “Scotty” passed away in 2010, they were married 69 years.

In the last few years of her life she was well cared for as a resident of Alpine House and Wallowa Valley Senior Living’s memory care. Her family extends a heartfelt thank you to Wallowa Memorial Hospital staff for their care in her last weeks.

Jean is survived by daughters Linda Sutch of Wallowa, Janet Terrill (Ken) of Joseph and sister Shirley Collins of Spokane; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

At her request no services were held. Her ashes will join those of her husband at Joseph Cemetery.

Jean will be missed by all her knew her.
