Michelle Yvonne Morgan, 61, passed away peacefully in her home in Enterprise on Jan. 30, 2016.
Michelle was born March 13, 1954 in Rantoul, Ill., the second child born to Gerald Joseph Perren and Frances Marie Perren (Winter).
Michelle was an Air Force brat — her dad was stationed all over the United States and the family moved along with him. Among the places they lived was Fairbanks, Alaska, Tallahassee, Fla., Prattville, Ala., Madrid, Spain, and Satellite Beach, Fla., but the place she always called home was Enterprise. Michelle lived in Enterprise the last 26 years.
Her passions included her nieces, nephews and grandkids, which she spoiled as she pleased — they all believed that they were her favorite. She considered them her children as well. Michelle always made sure she was present at sporting events, concerts, plays and anything they happened to be doing. Next to church, they were the most important thing in her life. Michelle was a daycare provider for more than 30 years, and she was a foster mom to many children in Wallowa County, keeping in contact with most of them to this day. Michelle loved people, yet she didn’t like to be around big crowds, as she was a tremendously private person. She also loved her church family, as her faith was very important to her. She was very active in St. Katherine’s Catholic Church.
Michelle married Thomas Anderson in 1976, and they were married until he tragically passed away in a construction accident in 1986. She married Randy Morgan in 2002, and soon after she was hosting all family holiday dinners at her house.
Michelle is survived by her husband Randy; daughter Ruby Anderson; step-daughters Katie Hess and Jessie Borgerding; four grandchildren; mother Fran Perren; brothers Michael and Brian; sister Brigette Preller; 10 nieces and nephews, and 14 great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Anderson; father Jerry Perren; cousins Dennis Beach and Audrey Beach Wedin.
There will be a rosary at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5 at Bollman Funeral Home. A funeral mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at St. Katherine’s Catholic Church, with a graveside service at Enterprise Cemetery to follow immediately after the mass. Following the graveside service, there will be a gathering at St. Katherine’s Parish Hall, 301 Garfield, in Enterprise.
Memorial contributions may be made in Michelle’s name to Safe Harbors, or the Red Cross through the Bollman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 547, Enterprise, OR.
