‘Our Town’ production still looking for cast members

Auditions for MidValley Theatre Company’s Spring 2016 production of “Our Town” have passed, but the show remains in need of a few good men (and boys, and hopefully a few women as well).

MidValley is producing the American classic by Thornton Wilder in conjunction with Fishtrap as part of the 2016 Big Read, which kicks off Jan. 21.

Anyone interested in joining the cast should contact MidValley President and “Our Town” Director Kate Loftus at (541) 569-2302.

“We still need quite a few men and really it doesn’t make a difference what age,” Loftus said. “We have parts for three or four baseball players the same age as young male lead, who’s 16. But we can work with whoever is interested. We also need a couple of women and other men to play townspeople — and a couple of gravediggers.”

Following casting, actors will begin rehearsals Jan. 4, with performance dates set for the middle two weeks of February.
