- Fill the Firetruck, a food drive for the Community Connection Food Bank is taking place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in Joseph, Enterprise, Lostine and Wallowa.
As the holiday season is also the season of giving, it’s time once again to remember those less fortunate. In that spirit, the annual Fill the Firetruck event is slated for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Firemen from Joseph, Enterprise, Lostine and Wallowa will park their trucks in conspicuous areas in the hopes that Wallowa County citizens fill their trucks with food and gift cards to be distributed by the Wallowa County Food Bank. Firemen will stand in the street to take cash donations, which will be converted to gift cards or food items.
