It was a crush at the Fall Fashion Celebration in Joseph. Tempting Teal Boutique and beecrowbee, located on the Main Street of Joseph, have shared the much-anticipated event for five years.

Both regular and new customers came for the sale prices, hors d’oeuvres, wine, soda and a chance to shop with friends.

“It’s really a lot of fun, a great night,” said Joan Roundy, salesperson for beecrowbee (and mother of owner Will Roundy).

“We had lots of people and they seemed to be enjoying themselves and they bought lots of soap and lots of clothes.”

Each location had local models and regular customers showing off the fashions available at the store. Inside Deve Wolfe’s Tempting Teal Boutique, models Stacy Green, Chantay Jett and Ruthie Mann sported fashions from the store. Across the street in beecrowbee, models Erica Houck and Ellen DeYoung showed how they put beecrowbee fashions together.

Husbands seemed to enjoy the event, too. Over at beecrowbee they were sipping wine, swapping stories and taking note of the things their wives liked.

“I think it’s one of the first times people get together before the holiday and they like to have a glass of wine and visit,” said Roundy. “The husbands are checking to see what they’ll get their wives for Christmas.”
