Schaeffer wins Egg Shoot trophy

The Eagle Cap Shooters Association’s tournament season continued last Saturday with the annual Egg Shoot.

Donnie Schaeffer of Wallowa won the pro series event with Callie Miller, also of Wallowa, taking second place. In the novice class Klint Norton, of Lostine, took first place with Logan Waldron, Wallowa, finishing second.

Pro series winner Schaeffer will have his name and picture placed on the traveling egg trophy which is displayed at various sponsor locations throughout the county. The trophy depicts an ostrich egg with a shooter on top. It travels with the current winner’s name and image for an entire year.

Springtime competitions continue with a defensive pistol shoot being held this Saturday, April 25. Ron Fox, of Wallowa, will be on hand to teach aspects of concealed carry safety, and gun control. The next shoot scheduled after the pistol shoot is the WWII vintage rifle shoot.
