Wallowa County Circuit Court Judge Russell West released Stephanie Larae Rhodes, 35, of Enterprise, into the custody of her parents who will act as third-party guarantors for Rhodes. Rhodes faces several counts of endangering the welfare of a minor as well as multiple counts of aiding and abetting the alleged sexual abuse of a minor. Rhodes was incarcerated in the Union County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

As third-party guarantors, Rhodes’ parents signed papers accepting responsibility for their daughter’s conditions of release. These included the caveat that her parents immediately report to law enforcement any violations by Rhodes of her release agreement. The parents could face possible contempt of court charges if they fail to do so.

Rhodes’ release included numerous stipulations including an 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew, no contact with either of her children and a substance abuse package, which includes no drug or alcohol use or association with persons indulging in substance abuse, among other stipulations.

Wallowa County District Attorney Mona Williams did not oppose Rhodes’ release because of the strictness of Rhodes’ conditions of release.

La Grande attorney Rick Dall represented Rhodes, who made her appearance Wednesday, April 22, via video from the Union County Jail.
