Mary Jean Wilson, 92, died in Albany on Jan. 25, 2015. Mary Jean was born in McMinnville on Aug. 7, 1922, to Otto L. Mortensen and Lulu E. (Van Fossen) Mortensen. Her father was killed in a hunting accident when she was 13 months old, and she and her mother remained in McMinnville. Mary Jean graduated from McMinnville High School in 1940. She worked for West Coast Electric Power in Portland, Mutual Life Insurance in McMinnville, and the Yamhill County Agent.

In 1944 she married Floyd B. Wilson, Jr. and they had two daughters. She was an accomplished homemaker most of her life, except for two years employed at Salem Credit Bureau. She and Floyd made Keizer their home for 55 years.

Survivors include daughters Shirley (Richard) Starr of Albany, Karen (Mark) Mason of Joseph, grandchildren Scott (Shaay) Gallagher-Starr, Colin (Sarah) Starr, Darin (fiancé Denia Kirk) Starr, Jerry Booze, Jeena Winn, and Kelly Winn, great-granddaughters Eliana, Ayla, Ananda, and Mikaela, brothers-in-law, Don Wilson of Wallowa, DeWayne Wilson of Hubbard, and sister-in-law Mary Alice Zastoupil of Leaburg. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 57 years.
