E-Gals split pair with Prairie City, Monument

The E-Gals cagers had a mixed-results weekend, losing by 20 to Prairie City and winning by 21 over Monument. The Prairie City game took place away on Jan. 2 Joseph lost by a 55-35 score.
Coach Travis Huffman said the E-Gals started out strong, but one Prairie City player proved nearly unstoppable with 28 points. “Every time we got close, she’d take over and put it out of reach,” Huffman said. Bright spots for Joseph included Satori Albee with 12 points and Lindsay Kemp with 8.

Joseph turned things around in the Monument game, winning by a score of 54-33. Huffman said the team led 20-12 at the half. Both squads scored 15 points in the third quarter, but the E-Gals won going away in the fourth quarter. Kemp led in scoring with 18 points followed by Natalie Williams with 12 and Alexis Sykora with 11.
