Multnomah County Results

Tuesday night, the measure had 52.5 percent “yes” votes, to 47.5 “no.” With more than 32,000 ballots counted, the two sides were 1,594 votes apart.

Wednesday morning, voters in Multnomah County were split 59 percent “no” to 40 percent “yes.” But in Washington County, where the majority of the votes were cast, the vote was 55 percent “yes” to 45 percent “no” — with 23,833 voting “yes” to 19,807 voting “no.”

Though the dollar figure is large, school district residents would not see a property tax rate hike if the measure were approved. That’s because it would replace an earlier tax that is expiring.
