Norma Lenora Simmons of Enterprise died May 13, 2014, in Enterprise at age 92.

She was born to Charles E. and Lottie Bell (Moore) Dietrich on April 9, 1922, in Loomis, Neb. She attended high school in Hemingford, Neb.

She was married to Vernon C. Simmons on March 14, 1941.

Norma lived for 70 years in Enterprise and worked as a cook at Wallowa Memorial Hospital for many years until her retirement.

Norma enjoyed camping, 4-wheelers and traveling with their RV Club, Little Swiss Rovers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Vernon C. Simmons who died in 2000; and brother Dale Dietrich.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Freda and Donald Curtis of Vale, Joyce and Patrick Wren of Sheridan, and Dennis and Patty Simmons of Irrigon; sister Orgetta L. Cope of Crescent City, Calif.; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
