Medford, Ore. — Medford’s Airport has a new addition unveiled today as part of their solar energy project.

The 16 foot sundial was completed with the help of Pacific Power’s Blue Sky customers who donated over $170-thousand to help the airport reduce their carbon footprint.

“Anything we can do to be clean helps and this is definitely clean energy. No one can object to cleanliness” said Airport Director Bern Case.

The first phase of the project, the solar panels, were completed last year.

The sundial produces enough energy to power three northwest homes for an entire year.
