The barbers of Enterprise are very strongly in favor of bobbed hair, saying it has greatly increased their business. At first they thought that bobbed hair was only a fad among a few and would soon pass away. However it became so popular with the women that to some shops it has increased the business from a third to one-half.

In wearing bobbed hair it is necessary that it be trimmed evenly. This makes it necessary for a trip to the barber shop for a haircut every fortnight or so. Also the neck must be clipped frequently. This however is free. For the bob 50 cents is charged.

Women have not yet taken to shaving the back of their necks but this may come later.

A few years ago the sight of a woman in a barber shop getting a hair cut was quite a novelty. Now however it has happened that a shop has been full of women waiting for their turn at the chair.

The opinion of the barbers in town was strongly in favor of bobbed hair for more reasons than the financial gain. They declared it to be far more sanitary than the old established style of wearing long hair. It is much easier washed and dried as this can be done in a few minutes in place of the half day required for washing and drying long hair.

That the new style is handier the women themselves testify, say the barbers, as the days of long and careful brushing and combing are gone.
