JOSEPH In January, the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture will resume its regular Friday kids art classes and also start a sound engineering class.

Starting Jan. 10, the center will feature four art sessions every Friday for different age groups, taught by Mary Ambroson, Jennifer Klimsza, Dana Ingram and Mellica MacIntire. The session for ages 8 to 10 was broken up into two classes due to overly full attendance. One session is for ages 13 through adult.

The last class March 14 will feature another gallery showing of art created during the term. All school offices will have copies of registration forms.

A new Josephy Center class on the schedule this winter, Sound Engineering From the Ground Up, taught by Bob Webb, will give high school students and interested community members the opportunity to learn the basics of sound engineering from an expert.

The seven-week class begins Saturday, Jan. 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will end on March 15. A second session, focused on Basic Videography, will begin on April 5. Cost for one seven-week session is $40 or $80 for both.

Another Josephy art class, taught by Jennifer Klimsza, will focus on Meditative Creativity, and feature different art skills. Class tuition is $110 or $12 per class.
