Foundation awards Safe Harbors $2,500

- <p>The Safeway Foundation recently awarded $2,500 to Safe Harbors. The Safeway Foundation recently awarded $2,500 to Safe Harbors for a network systems upgrade.
Safe Harbors is the sole domestic violence and sexual assault service provider in Wallowa County. Services offered by Safe Harbors include an emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, a 24-hour crisis line, legal and medical advocacy, and referrals to community partners, among other services. Last year, Safe Harbors provided services to 120 new clients.
The Safeway Foundation funds organizations that have a mission to support education, health and human services, hunger relief, and people with disabilities. Most of the funds come from voluntary employee giving.
