Shelton-Mayton exchange vows

Brittany Mayton, daughter of Denise Bingham and Tim English of Lostine and Brian Fournier of Halfway, was married to Mitchell Shelton, son of Skip and Cissy Shelton of Lostine, on Aug. 13, 2011, in Lostine.
The outdoor country wedding, held at the home of Lee and Tressie Allen, cousins of the groom, was complete with sunflower and Wrangler jean decorations as well as cowbells and hay bales. The bride and her attendants arrived by horse-drawn wagon.

The bride’s maid of honor was Ayesha Wortman, and bridesmaids were her sisters Crystal Sealey and Jessica Thomas, sister of the groom Lacey McQuead and friend Monique McKenzie.
Best Man was Tanner Shelton, brother of the groom.
A fun-filled reception followed that included a barbecue, dancing, music and several games of horseshoes.
The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas before returning to Lewiston, Idaho, where they will both finish their final year of studies at Lewis Clark State College.
The bride works for Schurman’s True Value and is doing an internship with the Boys and Girls Club; she will graduate in the spring with a degree in kinesiology.
The groom works for the Northwest Children’s Home and is doing an internship through Idaho Child Protective Services in Grangeville, Idaho; he will also graduate in the spring with a degree in social work.
