Rotary asks for coat donations
Published 5:00 pm Tuesday, October 11, 2011
The Rotary Club is asking local residents to donate warm coats, gloves, and hats (both children’s and adults’) to those in need in Wallowa County. Clean items can be placed in the drop boxes located at Safeway, Sterling Bank, and Community Bank branches in Enterprise, Wallowa, and Joseph.
A display of donated coats is located in the Wallowa Valley Professional Building on the corner of First and Greenwood streets in Enterprise. They can be seen from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Coats are also available at the Community Resale Store in Wallowa. Anyone who needs a coat is welcome to take one from the display racks. The motto is, “If it fits, it’s yours!”

New items donated will be added to the display until the end of November. A good selection is already available, thanks in part to Rotarians, who bought coats last spring, and to Sterling Bank, which has already delivered a nice variety of kids’ coats from the firm’s banks outside the area.
Anyone who cannot travel to Enterprise for a coat or who can’t find the right size should contact Building Healthy Families at 541-426-9411. For any other questions, call Rob at 541-432-4343.
