Wed-Sheehy

Cody Sheehy of Wallowa and Jatta Hirvensalo of Mantta, Finland, were married on Angel Island in San Francisco Bay, Calif., on June 24. A reception followed at Servino’s Restaurant in Tiburon, Calif.

The bride, daughter of Mikko and Hannele Hirvensalo who currently live in Switzerland, attends the University of California obtaining her doctorate degree in Environmental Ecology.

The groom is the son of Dennis and Marcie Sheehy of Wallowa. He is a 1997 graduate of Wallowa High School and a 2007 graduate of Oregon State University with a master’s in range ecology. He is now working at University of California as a documentary video producer.

The newlyweds plan to make their sailboat “Endymion” their new home, whether they’re dropping the anchor in California or somewhere warmer.
