Monica Lynn Royse of Enterprise died at the age of 46 May 11, 2011, after a 12-year battle with breast cancer.
She was born in Caldwell, Idaho, to Delbert and Clara Kuntz, and grew up in the Weiser, Idaho, area. She attended Boise State University and received a teaching degree in elementary education in 1987.

She married Brad Royse Oct. 3, 1992, in Weiser, Idaho.
Mrs. Royse loved teaching, including at Enterprise Elementary School after the family moved to Enterprise until cancer took her out of the classroom.
She loved children and animals, supported a young African orphan girl named Borgani for many years and collected fine dolls from all over. She also loved her Enterprise community, camping, picking huckleberries, mushrooming, reading, traveling, flowers and cooking. She was a member of the Enterprise Christian Church and her number one love was Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Patti Schlekeway and brother-in -law Steve Royse.
She is survived by husband Brad Royse, children Reanna and Dustin Royse, stepson Joshua Don Royse, parents Delbert and Clara Kuntz, father- and mother-in-law Don and Lila Royse, three half-brothers and sisters, and a multitude of other loving family members.
Funeral services were held at the Enterprise Christian Church in Enterpriseon Monday, May 16. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be given to the Wallowa Memorial Hospital Cancer Prevention Fund in memory of Monica Royse.
