- Gasoline over $4
Regular gas prices jumped by 10 cents overnight last week to over $4 per gallon throughout Wallowa County for the first time since the summer of 2009 when record prices were experienced (about $4.30 locally).
As of Tuesday morning, April 26, prices in the county were $4.05.9 in Joseph, $4.06.9 in Wallowa and $4.09.9 in Enterprise. The same day the average price in Oregon was $3.89 per gallon, 2 cents higher than the nation’s average.
There are some predictions that the price has hit a peak and others it will continue to skyrocket but no one knows for sure.
According to an AAA report this week, Oregons average is 90 cents higher than a year ago, and 15 cents higher than a month ago.
