JOSEPH Bob Fergison, a local artist, has donated one of his paintings to raise money for scholarships to the annual Choir Camp at Wallowa Lake Camp in August. 

The painting is displayed at the Sheep Shed on Main Street in Joseph. The silent auction, beginning this week, will run through May 31.

Choir Camp is open to all. It is directed by Peter Wordelman,professor of music at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande. Wordelman selects two students in the music program as choir section leaders or assistant conductors. 

The students benefit from a leadership perspective as well as assist in the overall success of the choir and receive a partial scholarship to attend Choir Camp and are a wonderful addition to the choir.

The theme of Choir Camp this year is Feel The Spirit. The week-end singing retreat begins August 5 at Wallowa Lake Methodist Camp, with a concert open to the public on the evening of Aug. 7.
