LA GRANDE-Timber and biomass markets, as well as new timber-related legislation and woodland management ideas will be covered at an upcoming workshop in La Grande.

The Oregon State University Extension Service and the Oregon Department of Forestry are sponsoring the daylong workshop on April 28 at the Presbyterian Friendship Center, 1204 Spring Ave., for woodland owners, loggers and anyone else interested.

Lunch will be provided by the Union County 4-H Exchange Club for $5 per person. Early registration is requested to provide a head count for handouts and lunches.
