Officials with Wallowa-Whitman National Forest have announced that a one-mile section of the Snake River National Recreation Trail #102 has been closed due to unsafe conditions.

A rock retaining wall near Half Moon Bar, south of Kirkwood Ranch in the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area, has become unstable and the trail is collapsing.
