Range Field Day set for June 29

The 2010 Range Field Day will be held at the Eastern Oregon Agricultural Research Center (EOARC) in Union, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 29.

Speakers at the free day-long seminar include Tim DelCurto of EOARC speaking about beef cattle grazing and multiple use values of rangeland; Pat Kennedy of OARC about the interaction of agriculture and bird habitat; Chad Boyd of EOARC about sage-grouse habitat management; a symposium on research into the behavior of beef cattle in riparian areas and the impact of wolves on grazing behavior; Tracy Johnson and Sam Wyffels of EOARC on the influence of beef cattle on ground nesting birds in the Zumwalt; and two field day workshops.
