Taylor Phelps, daughter of Kim and Kit Phelps of Lostine, will graduate as a doctor of veterinary medicine Sunday, June 13, from Oregon State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in Corvallis. She is a 2002 graduate of Wallowa High School.

The new Dr. Phelps plans to work for the time being in a mixed animal practice in the Portland area.

Before starting work, however, she will spend part of the summer in Spain, walking from the Pyrenees to Finisterre on the northwest coast, as a bit of relaxation after years of intensive study.
