Auditions for Children’s Theatre

Auditions for the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of “The Princess and the Pea” will be held in the Joseph High School cafeteria from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 5. All county students grades K-12 are invited to participate.

Those auditioning should arrive at 4:20 p.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the auditions.

It is a group audition – no advance preparation is necessary, but a smile never hurts.

Assistant directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

Missoula Children’s Theater touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup.

Rehearsals will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:14 to 8:45 p.m. and Friday at the OK Theater.

Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals.

A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the auditions. Cast members scheduled for the full 4 1/2 hours of rehearsal will be asked to bring a sack lunch, supper or snack.

Two performances will be held on Saturday, April 10th, 2010 at 3 pm and 7 pm and will be presented at the OK Theater in Enterprise.

The students in the cast will be called for rehearsal before the performance that day. All those cast must be available for all scheduled performances.
