Joseph third gradersTaught by Claudia Boswell, pretended they were familiar North Pole characters when they wrote their letters to Santa Claus.

Dear Santa,

Can I have a Jolly Christmas? Can we have a party? I could make a cake and we could have a snowball fight!! Let’s meet when you get back from your sleigh ride. Have a Jolly Christmas.

Your Friend, Lucky the elf (Jed Lamb)

Dear Santa,

I am your reindeer spokesman. They like their jobs but they want to try making toys. Kids like toys. Reindeer like kids. Please answer this letter.

Yours truly, Jack (Trey Wandschneider)

Dear Santa,

Could I have a break pulling the sleigh? Could I have a new harness for this year, please. Could I get some more oats, please?

Your reindeer, Cupid (Trinity Simpson)

Dear Santa,

Santa, I have a present for you. It is big and heavy. It is cool. It is a snowmobile. Your worker, Elf (Hayden Anton)

Dear Santa,

I like to pull the sleigh. I like landing. You’re fun, Santa!

Your reindeer, Blitzen (Kyler Winn)

Dear Santa,

I am a reindeer. My mom has the same name. It is Vixen

Your pal reindeer, Vixen (Jalyn Barney)

Dear Santa,

This is Blitzen. I made a new route. Down main street then go to the good kids’ houses, but don’t forget to stuff stockings and eat your cookies and drink your milk!

Your reindeer, Blitzen (Steven Lewis)

Dear Santa,

How are we going to see through the snow when we pull you? I’m Dasher. Are you going to make us new halters?

Your favorite reindeer, Dasher (Kade Kilgore)

Dear Santa,

I am your reindeer Rudolph. Santa, the elves are evil. They threw presents.

Your friend, Rudolph (Joseph Harvey)

Dear Santa,

I pull you at night. I am Donner. How are you? I like to play with Rudolph. Rudolph saved Christmas. How do you see through the snow when we pull you? Say hi to Mrs. Claus for me. Merry Christmas!

Your reindeer, Donner (TJ Grote)

Dear Santa,

Santa, we need more ribbons. Santa, the elves need more paint. Santa, the elves need more wrapping paper. Santa, we need a lot more boxes. Santa, Mrs. Claus tripped and broke her leg. Santa, one of your elves is sick. Santa, one of your elves died.

Your favorite elf, Mrs. Bell berry (Tori Suto)

Dear Sweety,

I hope you have a safe trip to the kids this year. Don’t eat so many cookies this time! Don’t give Blitzen too many carrots. Last time he got a stomach ache.

Your wife, Mrs. Claus (Renee Seal)

Dear Santa,

About making presents, will we get one? Or can we make one for one elf? Maybe we can do secret Santa.

Sincerely your elf, Joe (Tyler Homan)

Dear Santa,

The toy shop is running fine. One of the elves went to sleep. He was trying to invent a new toy, but it didn’t work. The naughty and nice list just printed. Lots of kids are waiting for you. There are seven days until Christmas.

Your elf, Jimmy (Josef Ramirez)

Dear Santa,

Thank you for the tools so we can make toys. We can work faster. We are already finished. Can we help pack the sleigh?

Your friend, Mary the elf (Ella Coughlan)
