Troy School grades K-3The students in grades kindergarten through 3 from Troy School, taught by Jinny Martin, contributed writings about the holiday season this year. Their feelings about Christmas and poems follow each student’s name.

Julian Rich,

Kindergarten:

Christmas is special because you get presents. It is fun because Rudolph comes with Santa. You get to spend time with your family and friends.

Dylan Farsnworth,

First Grade:

Christmas is special, to everybody, even you. There is white snow, and presents under your Christmas tree. You make snowballs, make snowmen, and even have fun with your new presents. Then you go sledding and do fun stuff.

CHRISTMAS

Once there was a girl named Lisa. Her school was having a Christmas program and she was learning to sing “Jingle Bells” all by herself!

She was so scared!

Everyday after school she would run up to her room thinking, “What will I do? What will I do?”

When it was the day of the show, when it was almost her turn, she felt the joy of Christmas! She felt confidence!

She walked out there and impressed everyone, with not only good singing, but also terrific movement!

Good job, Lisa!
