The Eagle Cap Shooters Association (ESCA) is raising money to payoff the real estate note on its shooting range at Ant Flat.

Already, the club has an offer “from some local businesses to pay off the balance,” according to president Stephen Wolfe. “These businessmen have stated that there must be several individuals interested in working and participating to make ECS range a success in order for them to step forward with this commitment.”

All cash contributions in any amount are welcomed. For donations of $1,000, the board of directors approved the prepayment of annual dues up to 10 years and created a lifetime membership.

The assocation promoted firearm safety and education. Members’ interests vary from cowboy action, high power and small bore rifle and pistol to trap and skeet, sporting clays, black powder arms and archery.

“Our objective is to provide a safe place to enjoy these activities, especially for our youth, and provide a safe facility for law enforcement to train and maintain certification,” Wolfe said.
