Food Shoot, Dec. 20

Every shooter wins.
Eagle Cap Shooters Association’s annual Food Shoot on Dec. 20 will feature four matches, each one over a blanket of food items at the range on Ant Flat Road off Highway 3, six miles north of downtown Enterprise. Participants select their prizes in the order of rankings. Winners can donate their “trophy” to the Wallowa County Food Bank.
ECSA members, non-members and guests are invited to fire .22-caliber rifles in the friendly competition. It starts at 1 p.m. Entry costs $5 and at least one food item for the blanket of awards. They could be meat, canned goods, cooking utensils, knives, special sauces, gift certificates to restaurants or grocery stores – anything connected to eating. Multiple donations would help cover all four matches.
For more information, call Tom Crooks at 432-2580. Volunteers can help collect prize donations or serve as Range Safety Officers. Contact Crooks before Dec. 18.
