There is a little over a week left to put a gift under the Tree of Giving at the Enterprise Flower Shop.
More than 50 children and adults still need gifts according to Barbara Harvey, who is in charge of the Tree of Giving project.

Harvey knows that because there are still 50 ornaments left on the tree.
Residents have whittled that down from an original 400 ornaments, Harvey said.
In an annual project that inspires community generosity, residents are invited to take an ornament and bring back a wrapped present.
The ornament bears a tag with the pseudonym and age of someone who needs a little help to have a merry Christmas; many tags also have gift suggestions.
Many of the ornaments still on the tree are for adults and teenagers.
“Actually I’m very pleased with the response so far,” said “head elf” Harvey.

It is helpful for Harvey and her fellow volunteer elves if folks put a sticky note on their packages – along with the name tag – identifying the gift inside.
The gifts will be distributed, along with Christmas dinner food boxes, in the Elks Christmas Basket Program.
Monetary donations for the project can be sent to P.O. Box K, Enterprise, OR 97828.
The wrapped presents should be returned to the Tree of Giving by Friday, Dec. 18, to give the elves time to organize them for giving.
The Christmas baskets will be delivered Dec. 23, starting at 8:30 a.m., from the Enterprise Elks Lodge.
