Santa Train to roll Dec. 14 in Wallowa
Published 4:00 pm Wednesday, December 3, 2008
Thanks to a generous donation from Horizon Wind, the Eagle Cap Excursion Santa Train will run in 2008, making it possible to offer the rides for free with just a can of food from each passenger. The canned food goes to the county food banks.
The Santa Train will roll Saturday, Dec. 13, from Elgin, and Sunday, Dec. 14, from Wallowa
The train will depart from the Elgin depot at 9 and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. for a 1.5 hour trip along the Grande Ronde River. It will then follow the same schedule in Wallowa the next day. Reservations are requested to ensure a seat for everyone wanting to ride the busy Santa Trains. Contact Mary Ann, 886-3200, to reserve your spot on a train. All kids must be accompanied by an adult and all adults should be in the company of children.
This popular train ride gives kids and families an opportunity to experience the fun and excitement of riding a train, with the added enjoyment of a visit with Santa Claus on the train.
