Bronze Bike Motorcycle Rendezvous Aug. 22-24 in Joseph Street Dance at 7 p.m. in Joseph

Aug. 16: Lostine River Ranch Round-Up and Barbecue, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., proceeds benefit Wallowa County Fairgrounds. Games, swimming, fishing, duck races, duck squat, horse shoes, wagon rides, quick saw, pit bbq of beef, buffalo and pork. Tickets are $15 adults, $10 youth, 10 and younger free. Tickets available at the OSU Extension Office, Napa Auto Parts or the ranch.

Aug 16: Wallowa County Stockgrowers annual public address, meeting, dinner and dance at Cloverleaf hall. Meeting 10 a.m.; lunch follows; 1 p.m. Richard Frasch, senior vice-president of Cargill, speaking on Food vs. Fuel: Impact on Agriculture; social hour 6:30 p.m.; barbecue dinner 7:30 p.m., awards 8:30 p.m. and dance 9 p.m. Call 577-3266 evening.

Aug. 16: Second Annual Community Outreach Yard Sale at St. Patricks Episcopal Church, 3rd and Main in Enterprise. Sale to run 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds to go to Community Connections and Safe Harbors.

Aug. 16: Wallowa Lake Woodwinds Concert, 1 p.m., OK Theatre, Enterprise. Free to public.

Aug. 17: All are invited to the 11 a.m. Prayer service at the Wallowa Lake Chapel following Holy Communion at St. Patricks in Enterprise. The service will be led by Rev. Dan Gardner, guest priest from Vale. The Lake Chapel is located south of Wallowa Lake near the end of Power House Road.

Aug. 18-20: Registration for new students to Joseph School. Students 5-12 register at district

office 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students K-4 register at the elementary office at 201 2nd Street.

Aug. 20: Oregon Book Awards Authors Tour presented by Fishtrap in cooperation with Literary Arts in Portland, 7 p.m. Stage One in Enterprise. Book Award Winner Alison Clement with an old friend and standout Wallowa County musician, Carolyn Lochert for an evening of words and notes.

Aug. 21: Videographer Gwen Trice describes her Maxville Community History project, at Stage One, 7 p.m. The OPB film crew will be there to film the interaction between Trice and other Wallowa County residents. Presented by The Rotary Club of Wallowa County. Dessert and refreshments will be served.
