Regarding Rich Wandschneider’s “Main Street: The lone Indian scout of the CJD parade” (Chieftain, June 26):

Thanks, Rich, we needed that! An occasional departure from the mold we are cast into yields an inkling that perhaps something worthwhile lies beyond the pale. And a better understanding of our history, and our place in it is worthwhile for any good citizen.
