Solar basics topic of class

Solar Oregon, an educational non-profit organization, is offering a “Basics of Going Solar” workshop at which Wallowa County residents can learn why solar is a smart choice in Oregon.

The workshop is scheduled Tuesday, April 22, in the Toma’s conference room of Wallowa Mountain Properties, 309 S. River St., Enterprise.

The Rotary Club of Wallowa County and Wallowa Resources are hosting this event in honor of Earth Day.

The workshop will detail available technology and financial incentives that can pay for up to half of the cost of “going solar.”

(larmstrongroepke@gmail.com) as seating is limited. A $10 donation is requested to cover the cost of the venue and other expenses.

The workshop will be presented by Solar Oregon, in partnership with Energy Trust of Oregon, Inc.
