Kenneth Hershall Hale

Kenneth Hershall Hale, 90, of Wallowa died at Wallowa Memorial Hospital in Enterprise on Jan. 13, 2008. Kenneth was born in Hamilton, Ohio, to Atha C. Hale and Effie D. Beets. He moved to Wallowa County when he was two years old.
He grew up in Enterprise and attended Enterprise High School. In 1941, he moved to Portland, where he worked as a breakman on the railroad and as a machinist from which he retired. In 2007 he moved back to Wallowa County.
His passion was trains and he loved to travel. He enjoyed baseball, music, dancing and being around people. He loved to bring joy and laughter to others.
Survivors include sister Ruth and Johnny Kriwoy of Wallowa; daughter Linda Paulson of Portland; son Kenny Hale, Jr. and wife Edith of Pendleton; daughter Lorna Goss and Michael of Wallowa; daughter Jolene and Steven Wilson of Houston, Texas; son Jimmy and Jenny Hale of Casa Grande, Ariz; 12 grand children; and 14 great-grandchildren. Interment will be at the Entetprise Cemetery in the spring.
