Former Wallowa County resident Robert G. Winn, 38, died from a head injury June 19, 2007, in Reno, Nev.

Mr. Winn was born April 11, 1969, to David and Linda Winn in Hayward California. He moved to Enterprise when he was 12 with his mother and stepfather, Randy Tye. Robert lived there for several years and, during that time, learned how to hunt and fish from his stepfather. He loved the outdoors very much.

Mr. Winn loved cars, music and playing the drums. A wonderful communicator, he enjoyed joking around and being the center of attention. He also loved spending time with his kids, Marisza and Jacob.

Robert is survived by his wife, Beth, and his two children, all of Reno; sister Gina and husband, Craig Dophied, of Sacramento, Calif.; his father and stepmother, David and Betty Winn, of Prescott, Ariz.; his mother and stepfather, Linda and Jerry Williams, of Ridgecrest, Calif.; his grandmother, Nona Winn; and many uncles, aunts and cousins. His grandfather, Budd Winn, passed away last year.

The family has launched a Web site in memory of Robert at searchingforrobert.com, which is designed to help those addicted to crystal methamphetamine while providing a resource for families in need.
