Obituaries: Kenith ‘James’ Huffman

Kenith “James” Huffman, 22, lost a two-year battle with cancer Dec. 8, 2007, at home in Enterprise with his family and friends.

Mr. Huffman was born in Enterprise March 14, 1985, at 8:04 p.m. to parents Michael “Travis” and Laurie (Janson) Huffman.

He went to school all 12 years in Enterprise, and later became a full-time student at Pendleton’s Blue Mountain Community College, where he tried out for the BMCC baseball team.

He met Amy Lynne Harrison, who was his life partner. Also at his side was his dog, Lucy.

Mr. Huffman enjoyed his family, friends, softball and baseball, swimming, music and video games. He was a soft-spoken man who was wise beyond his years.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Amy Lynne Harrison of Pendleton; parents, Laurie and Travis Huffman of Enterprise; sisters Michela Renea Huffman of Enterprise and Alysha Devin Huffman of Joseph; and grandparents, Paul and Sue Janson of The Dalles, Sharon Huffman Day of Mission and Tom Huffman of Enterprise.

He is also survived by uncles, aunts and cousins, Clay and Jean Huffman (Haylie and Tyler), Andy and Raquel Huffman, Jay Janson (Michael and Natasha), Sherry and Paul Stecklein (Sierra and Dylan), and many other family members.

Mr. Huffman’s last goodbye party, the second part of his wake, was held Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Cloverleaf Hall.
