Emily Wyffels, a senior at Joseph High School, recently auditioned and was selected to sing in the All-State Women’s Choir for Oregon.
Michelle Homan, Jo-Hi music teacher, and Wyffels will travel to Eugene in January. The concert will be held Jan. 14 at 3 p.m. in the Hult Center in Eugene.
Wyffels started taking private lessons for voice last year from Iva Lindsey of Wallowa. She’s planning a college education with a major in voice.
She extends “a big thank you” to the music teachers and staff who helped prepare, record and send off the audition performance.
Wyffel’s senior project will consist of an all-school choir concert this spring,, bringing together all three high school choirs, soloists and choral directors for one great concert. Wyffels is the daughter of Mike and Beverly Wyffels and has two older brothers Michael Wyffels and Samuel Wyffels.
