- Joseph City Council: Dennis Sands
Age: 66
Occupation: semi-retired. I work part time at Ace Hardware. Before I retired, I sold business forms printing and owned a printing business, plus, for six years, I owned a business brokerage business assisting business owners in the sale or purchase of small businesses.
Experiance: I have no previous government experience, although I have attended most of the city council meetings for the last four years.
Community activities include serving on the Multnomah County Republican Central Committee, currently serving as an Air Life volunteer, and a year on the local airport committee.
The greatest issue facing Joseph is ensuring that it is a town that its residents can thrive in and be proud of, not just today, but 10 years from now as well. I believe we can achieve this goal if we return to a city government that focuses its energies on the issues of education, jobs and smart, responsible growth.
My priorities are simple: 1) to improve job opportunities, 2) to protect our children’s education and 3) to support and encourage smart, responsible growth.
3. I am running for office because I want to use my energy and experience to give back to the community that has given me so much.
4. Local government should be a partner in helping its citizens to achieve their dreams.
