Nez Perce center needs volunteers

The Wallowa Band Nez Perce Interpretive Center is looking for volunteers for the Wallowa office and Tamkaliks site just outside of Wallowa.

Volunteers are needed for office assistance, greeting visitors to the center, explaining our mission and activities to visitors, and answering visitors questions about Nez Perce History.

Office assistance includes, answering the phone, data entry and correspondence. Training will be provided to volunteers by the WBNPTIC staff. Hours are flexible. Volunteers are also needed to help maintain the320-acre site on Whiskey Creek Road.

Volunteer activities include: trail maintenance, weed control, etc. Volunteers are always welcome and needed for various tasks during the Tamkaliks Celebration in July.
