The Nature Conservancy recently awarded the Wallowa Valley Health Care Foundation a first-season landowner’s preference elk tag on the Zumwalt Prairie.

The tag, along with room and board and guide services provided by Imnaha River Inn, will be sold at auction on Nov. 12 at the foundation’s 10th annual fall dinner extravaganza in Enterprise.

The event has raised over $350,000 for Wallowa Memorial Hospital and Care Center since 1996.

This year’s proceeds will go to furnish the emergency room in the new hospital which is now under construction.

For information on the foundation, auction and hunt tag, contact Linda Childers at the foundation office at 426-1913.
