Eastern Oregon Regional Theatre in Baker City presents “The Merry Wives of Windsor” by William Shakespeare on Aug 18-21 in the park located at 2nd and Baker Street. “Merry Wives of Windsor” is a classic farce, following the misadventures of the fat knight, Sir John Falstaff, as he attempts to woo two married and well-to-do women simultaneously. Falstaff (Stephan P. Zacharias) is a knight of nobility, but is also known to be a scoundrel and thief. The audience will join the laughter as Falstaff attempts to seduce Mistress Ford (Heather Mussard) and Mistress Page (Abby Dennis) in order to gain access to their husband’s cash. However, the wives are more clever than Falstaff and the jealous rants of Master Ford (Drew Norton) lead to the humiliation, beating, and dunking of Sir John Falstaff. All shows begin at 6:30pm. Tickets are $8 general admission and $5 for groundlings.
