To the Editor:

I am a graduate of Lostine High School, and we were up for the July 4th Lostine Flea Market. I was wearing an Army hat, minding my own business, when a heavy mid-aged woman in a Vote Kerry booth, yells “Assassinate Bush” at me. Then at the Chief Joseph Days parade, a bunch of pick-ups, full of people yelling “Vote Kerry.” I was hoping to enjoy a day with out bigotry. What nerve of these people in a pro-timber, pro-gun county. People around me were saying this kind of stuff will just ruin the parade.
