PUBLIC NOTICE
The City of Joseph will hold a public hearing on Annexation Ordinance 2004-06, an Ordinance annexing to the City of Joseph the real property located within the Urban Growth Area described as Tracts I, II and III, 2S4532BC, Tax Lot 6200 and 2S45, Portion of Tax Lot 9500. The hearing will be held July 6, 2004, at 7:00 p.m., Joseph City Hall, 201 North Main Street. A copy of the Ordinance may be viewed at City Hall during business hours.

FOR DIRECTOR OF THE WALLOWA SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT
Notice is hereby served that nominations by petition may be made for positions of Director of the Wallowa Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD). The following positions will expire this year and will be filled by election, on a nonpartisan ballot, at the November 2, 2004, General Election.
Positions: Zone 1, 4 years; Zone 3, 2 years; At Large, 4 years; etc.
Information regarding zone boundaries, eligibility requirements, and copies of nominating petitions may be obtained at the SWCD Office located at 209 SW First Street, Enterprise, Oregon 97828, (541)426-4588. Information may also be obtained from the Oregon Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Division, 653 Capitol Street NE, Salem, Oregon 97301-2532. Phone: (503)986-4775.
Nominating petitions must be signed by at least ten registered voters residing within the Wallowa SWCD and be submitted to the County Clerk of Wallowa County for verification of signatures prior to filing. The “Petition for Nomination Signature Sheet” and a Declaration of Candidacy” must be filed with Oregon department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Division by August 24, 2004, at 5:00 p.m.
Mail or hand-deliver all forms to Oregon Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Division, 635 Capitol Street NE, Salem, Oregon 97301-2532. Petitions received after the deadline will not be accepted. Faxed or electronic versions of the petitions cannot legally be accepted.

NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING
A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Alder Slope Cemetery District, Wallowa County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2004, to June 30, 2005, will be held at 64304 Alder Slope Road, Enterprise, Oregon. The meeting will take place on the 13th day of July, 2004, at 7:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after June 24, 2004, at 64304 Alder Slope Rd., between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.
